Unfortunately booting into old kernel didn't fix new kernel. I don't have time for this at the moment (exams etc.) I think I will just use my vista (gaming) partition until I have time to fix it :(

I understand the need for antivirus on the geust, however wanted to know why a guest XP install would need firewall given that the internet connection comes via the host...
I used to hate adobe v7 however after reading this thread I gave v8 a try and after opening up some of my uni PDFs with adobe v8 (I read hundreds of them a semester).

Currently I have ubuntu and xp installed with grub as my boot manager, I want to give wubi a whirl mainly for the amusement value of it. My question is:
Does wubi kill grub or will I merely be...
I voted listen. It plays everything I have thrown at it so far without having to do or install anything other then the program itself. :)

1. that I have to install fglrx before I can even get into the live CD. I understand the no propietry goal of ubuntu however if to get it to work the first thing someone does is installs propietry...

why when I run this script is the first thing it talks about is VMware player? Like I installed VMware earlier on today however I have rebooted since then so I dont see the link between the two...

my fresh install of vmware only works if I start it as root "sudo vmware"
I have all my fat32 partitions added as 'persisting' and my windows NTFS partion as 'none parsisting' so that I wont kill...
I will most likely be using vista too at some stage... not that I can see myself paying for it :rolleyes:.
I like the idea of linux however have yet to find where it fits well in my computing life...
lack of ATI support, lack of flash support, having to stuff around with a zillion things to get things that 'just' work under *******.
Having to use automatix or something simular for things that...
