  5. [xubuntu] Re: Problems with Brother MFC250C under Xubuntu 17.10

Are you setting this up as a network printer or is it attached to your computer? Sometimes Brother printers/scanners can be finicky and require using the terminal to set them up.

After you ran sensors-detect, did it list modules that need to be loaded? If so, did you answer yes to all of the yes/no questions?

For me, using Ubuntu 14.04, the settings location is usr/local/brother/sane and the file is brsanenetdevice4.cfg, if it is the same for you, just change the address to be as for your printer.

What version of Ubuntu are you using? Do you have Synaptic Package Manager installed? If so, open it up and look for Kexi. If not installed, do so as it is available.

Do you have Synaptic Package Manager installed? If so, choose custom filters and click on broken to see all that is wrong and then go to edit and choose Fix Broken Packages.

Re: Ubuntu 14.04.5 Amd Driver support?

If you need and earlier version of 14.04 instead of 14.04.5, you can find it here:http://releases.ubuntu.com/14.04/
14.04.5 is using the Xenial kernel and X stack. The earlier release does not.
