To me it's easier to remove all prior kernels and related files, then run sudo update-grub than to edit the Menu.lst file in the legacy grub. fwiw

even with ram, you can use up to 64gb with 32bit Ubuntu utilizing PAE. but, yeah, I use only 64 bit exclusively unless I get a netbook.

I'm also using the 32 bit flash with wrapper...haven't tried the 64 bit with Karmic, but I can say I don't get any jerkiness except for a flash when changing the window size. HW in sig also.

what version of firefox are you using? Opera will be faster. Chromium for Linux will be much faster, but it's alpha and last I checked won't keep it's settings between updates. You can try Flock 2...
