    What's the output of awesome -v?

    If 3.0 or higher, the config is no longer ~/.awesomerc but ~/.config/awesome/rc.lua (example one in /etc/xdg/awesome/rc.lua).

    Also it's lua configuration now.

    Using it for about a week now, after a day or two I got used to the config/lua syntax and now I like it better than any previous version. You can simply do soooo much more, you have a lot more...

    I wouldn't consider awesome a "fork" of DWM. Not anymore at least. It has by far surpassed dwm in features. DWM is too simplistic, imo :)

    I have yet to give wmii a serious try though, the initial...
