I have a fully updated fresh install, I am seeing the same permission being asked for but the webapps themselves are not being installed
The way I did it is probably the long way, but worked for me.
I opened a terminal
Typed "gksudo nautilus"
Navigated to computer -> home -> [username]
"ctrl+h" to show the hidden files
Right...
In my case the folder permissions had been changed to root, I changed them back to me, ran a backup and there was no error report.
Been getting the same problem myself since a fresh install last week, its the first time I have seen this error with Deja Dup. Going to double check the permissions and see if the error still occurs
Ditto with the non bootable on -19 when combined with Nvidia. Things running fine with the default Xorg drivers. That said, a successful shutdown or restart is still once in a blue moon, system tends...
Yeah, updated and tried with the Nvidia 310 repo. Borkage ensued. Rolled back to an older kernel, and went back to the standard xorg driver. Back to normal now, though obviously without any Nvidia...
I am getting some strange behaviour. Restarting the computer usually causes it to freeze on shutdown. Shutting down seems to work. But when I boot up the Bios screen launches, then the plymouth...
Just did a fresh reinstall, never bothered with the nvidia repos, left the 'proposed' unchecked and after updating to the latest kernel I am back to the grub screen on boot and the computer refusing...
Reinstalling 13.04 right now. Grub kept launching on start-up. Tried the boot repair tool but no joy. System would not turn off or restart either, monitor would switch off but box would stay on...
Just got the latest linux-headers-3.8.0-18 update. After a restart Grub launches, if I choose Ubuntu (its either that or a memory test) I get a screen of jumbled text and nothing else happens. Do a...
Yeah, looks like I have 3.8.0-17.27 installed. For me it just means not messing on Steam, so will leave the almighty GRUB alone for now. Fingers crossed they consider this bug worth addressing :)

This happened to be me last night, and again this morning. All I have done to get to a working desktop is use synaptic to remove all the nvidia packages and restart. The peculiar thing on restart is...
I moved from the Nvidia drivers to the default xorg drivers on my system, that cleared up the resolution issue but still no unity or borders.
Have just tried a fresh install, but the exact same...
Hey all,
Just got the latest round of updates, restarted and my screen resolution is way off. Also no borders on any apps, unity/compiz do not seem to be working right either. I have a feeling it...
Yeah, right after the Beta2 (the only release point this cycle) it did come as a surprise. Its not up to Beta standard, missing too many functional parts and full of regressions. I use(d) Gwibber for...
I have filed some bugs against the Friends App;
Bug #1165170 - No way to change notification settings
Bug #1165173 - Overlay Scrollbars Not Working In Friends GUI
Bug #1165177 - Friends has...
Have received the update to Gwibber, now 'Friends', but having trouble finding a few bits. Where can I change the notification settings like before? Also there does not seem to be an indicator icon...
Same here, tried uninstalling the packages and then reinstalling. It seemed to work, but after a restart an error report launched saying the package had not been installed correctly.
It was never an issue for me in Ubuntu 12.10 using the 310 repo, this is a new issue for me since moving to 13.04
Right, give that a try now. Hopefully I do not live to regret...
They still have it listed as private but here is the link I have if you want to try or keep an eye on the status; Bug #1155327: skype crashed with SIGSEGV in malloc@plt()
I'm no expert, all I know right now is that if I 'need' to run Skype I need to switch back to the Xorg repo, then switch back to Nvidia for if I want to mess in Steam :D
Yes I submitted Bug #1155327 in launchpad a few days ago, but its still listed as 'undecided'
The problem with Skype not running with me seems to have to do with the Nvidia drivers. If I use the standard Xorg drivers skype opens and runs as normal. If I use the 304/310/313 repo's then skype...
It installs the 304 repo. Not even sure if that gets updated after release either, usually there is a 304-updates (or to that effect) if you want post-release updates. 310 was the bleeding edge if...
