Hey, I won't be able to try it until the evening because I'm not near my laptop. That said, I have a few ideas:
    1) Try restarting (I'm sure you've already tried this but worth mentioning)
    2)...

Re: Pros and Cons between Python, C++, VALA, C#

    Sounds interesting!

I've just started learning Vala and while I do like it, I find that managing libraries is a bit annoying, especially having to manually include them during compile. I guess I'm...

Two buttons below that list should be a button to install new languages. Click on that, tick the English option in the list and click on the button on the right hand side at the bottom. That should...

[ubuntu] Re: Coming back to Ubuntu

Yeah, I thought it did something like that. I know that Xen used to be pretty popular a couple of years ago but I think most people find vbox easier and suited to their needs. You could post this in...

  12. [SOLVED] Re: Accidentally did "complete removal" on Synaptic, how to restore?

If it isn't showing up in synaptic, you probably just got Skype off their website rather than installing it directly from the Software center. It should work if you just get it from here:...

[ubuntu] Re: Coming back to Ubuntu

You might have better luck with Virtual Box rather than Xen, which is designed for servers rather than desktops. Does Xen support opengl or directx?
  14. [ubuntu] Re: How to get good sound from Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit

Is the sound ok when you play a music file directly? I personally think you should just use the version of flash in the Software Center as that auto updates.

    Re: Nothing is trusted

This is because you must have installed a repository that isn't signed or you don't have a key for it. It's pretty easy to fix in most cases. Open the launcher, search for "Terminal" and open that....
