synaptic had it marked as installed, clicked reinstall and it worked!

This doesn't seem to work for me. I want to copy specific files, not just entire directories.

Maybe find with xargs is the answer?

Must be doing something really stupid here. All I want to do is copy a selection of specific files in various folders from my webserver to my home machine.

Ran into the same problems that others had; browsing worked first time but browsing the network would time out on...

Also... maybe this is just me... but I always burn at the slowest speed possible. Burning a large, full disc at 48x or whatever, usually gives me problems... something to do with the slight wobble at...
