AMD A10-8780P, Radeon R8 M360.
It looks like the kernel in 15.10 iso is 4.1 then? 4.2 appears to be released though, which would mean a pre-release of 16.04 might well do just fine on this...
I intended to resize the partition, and give Ubuntu ~100Gb of the 1Tb drive.
However, I can't seem to get past the GRUB screen now into the live USB part.
I recently purchased a new HP laptop, running Windows 10. I have a USB drive of Ubuntu 15.10 64 bit. I am having some issues with this though.
I set the computer to boot from USB first. Once it...
Here is a screenshot of what it is doing. That is the deposit column where the amounts are.
It is a scheduled transaction, but not set to auto enter. I manually enter it for the correct amount and...
I've posted on the official KMyMoney forum, but haven't gotten an answer to my question in 2 months now, so I'm hoping maybe someone over here might have some insight.
I keep having a rogue...
Not sure what I did. And I'm not sure what it is called. I have a dual monitor setup with 15.04. I used to be able to grab a window, move it to the other monitor, and kind of "throw" it to the top...
I just followed the steps in this thread and got it to work.
Got it all back to normal. Thank you for the help.
Got it to remove the packages, and got rid of my login loop. So I can login, but I don't have a menu now, and a ctrl+alt+t did not get me a terminal. Though I did figure out I can right click to open...
I do have ATI, yes. I found a command through a search to use purge to remove that, but it gave me an error that purge didn't exist.
I ran an update on Ubuntu 15.04 this morning, and it asked me to do a reboot to finish. So I did, and now I'm stuck with a login loop. Ctrl+alt+F1 gets me to a black screen with no command prompt....
I can add my default google calendar just fine. But I have another calendar that is shared with me in google, that I am so far unable to add. Is there a trick I am missing? This calendar installs...
That's seems to be what it is doing. But 14.04 and prior(I opted not to go to 14.10) have never done this to me. I've never tried using Alt to invoke the HUD, but I play Dota2 in 14.04 without this...
Testing out 15.04 beta 2. While using steam to play Dota2, hitting alt will minimize the game and put me at the desktop. This has never happened before 15.04. Bug, feature? Very annoying behavior...
And that's fine while it's running, but my screen won't blank after I close Steam.
For a screen saver, I just have my screen go blank after a certain number of minutes. But if I have had Steam running, it never goes blank. If I reboot everything is fine, until I open Steam again....
I figured out the reason for the hang ups: My wireless driver is screwing with things. After the installation, it got enabled, though I don't use it. Since I disabled the wireless driver, the...
No, this has only happened on the latest install of 13.04. As I said, it has never happened before.
I'll try a memtest

Awesome, thanks
Anyone?
After upgrading to 12.04, I had to reinstall Banshee. As far as I can tell, Rhythmbox does not support on the fly file conversion. Banshee, however, does. So I can keep my FLAC files on my...
Yes, the additional drivers is what crashes the system. That is where I activated the Broadcom STA driver. It didn't used to be a problem, but I've been running wired for about a year up until now,...
