I am installing Killing Floor now and will test it out as soon as it downloads and report my findings.
Edit: Killing Floor installs but won't run due to "missing executable".

I didn't see anyone mention this yet so I wanted to let everyone know that Indie Royale has a new bundle up. It has 2 linux games also. Oil Rush and Reprisal. Both are redeemable on Desura.

This has been my experience. I haven't seen any reason to not run 64 bit if you have more than 4 GB's of ram.
My guess is that it's your drivers. I'm using proprietary Nvidia drivers and I played it for an hour or so today with no issue. Installed Shatter via the Software Center in Kubuntu 12.04
I noticed Shatter didn't have much for in game settings. I did a bit of searching and discovered the following:
There is a file in /opt/Shatter/ called SettingsEditor.bin.x86
run this file and...
Has anyone been able to install these via the Ubuntu Software Center? I was able to add the three games that are currently in the Software Center (SPAZ, Dustforce and Shatter) but they all say they...
I also highly recommend S.P.A.Z. It is basically diablo in space. It is pretty awesome.
Bought. S.P.A.Z. is a great game. I've heard tons of good things about torchlight and Rochard. I also felt compelled to buy since Rochard is the first game on linux to use the Unity game engine. ...
My favorite native multiplayer shooters on linux are:
Urban Terror
Xonotic
Sauerbraten
Counterstrike and Counterstrike source are also pretty easy to run in Wine from what I've experienced.
Yea I'm sure it's just a hiccup on Ubuntu's end but it really makes me anxious for Steam on linux to get here.
Bought this. I'm having problems redeeming Fieldrunners on Ubuntu Software Center. Everything else worked great but Fieldrunners just gives me a "not found". I am sure this will sort itself out...
Path of Exile is basically a better version of what Diablo 3 should have been. It is in beta right now but will be free to play on release. During beta you can donate $10 and get early access and...
I am running Skyrim on Xubuntu 11.10. I installed d3dx9_42, vcrun2008, and xact with winetricks and deleted the video in Skyrim/Dava/Video and the game runs great. It is a little stutter when...
I just wanted to check in and say that my mother in law and myself are both using the native spotify app in Linux Mint 11 (her) and Xubuntu 11.10 (me) and we are both on free accounts. We are going...
I can confirm Skyrim works in Xubuntu 11.10 64 bit. I am running wine 1.3.32 and installed xact, vcrun2008 and d3dx9_42 via winetricks.
I am running on a Sager np8130 notebook with a core...
Okay I don't know how exactly this works but if you Run the windows executable of Binding of Isaac in Wine you get it perfectly playable. There is barely any slowdown at all and even fullscreen...
To uninstall it you have to open the .deb install file again. It will open with a remove option or uninstall or something.
I forgot to mention there is also Crystal Saga. It is a new mmorpg that is browser based so it will run in all OSes. I only tried it for a second but it seemed alright.
Allods works in wine for you? I have never gotten it to play and according to the wine appdb it doesn't work at all for anyone.
To the OP, I recommend Runes of Magic through wine. It installs...
First. Binding of Isaac is a "roguelike" game. That means they don't allow you to save the game and when you die you start from the beginning....this includes quitting while playing. Quit = death....
Which version of Ubuntu are you running? I have now tried 32 bit and 64 bit, tried the 11.0 flash...nothing makes it run well. It is very slow and choppy when more than 2 things are on the screen. ...
Is anyone able to play Binding of Isaac without it being a laggy mess? I am running 64 bit Xubuntu 11.10 and anytime there are more than 2 monsters on screen its really laggy. Also i am not able to...
Sorry I didn't even see that you asked about FPS also. My favorite linux FPS's are Urban Terror, Enemy Territory, Sauerbraten and Nexuiz.
I have tried all the native linux mmorpgs and definitely the best in my opinion is Vendetta Online. It's a subscription fee game. On the other hand I have run both World of Warcraft and Runes of...
Luckily I happen to have a dual boot installed right now with win 7 (happened to be playing some windows games lately) so I just booted into that. Now I am gonna have to continue my search for a...
