Thank you for that, the first line appears to have cleared it up.
Cheers!
Hello Ubuntu's
I have a HP Pavilion x360 (this model), and I am having issues having both the Bluetooth and WiFi on at the same time. Wifi works on it's own, and Bluetooth works on it's own, but...
Kingsoft Office works as good as Libre Office on a linux desktop. Add any bluetooth keyboard, of which there are many, and its easy as pie to write a 12 page report on a tablet.
My tablets and...
Have not had a failed upgrade since 2007/2008 time. Pretty sure since then it has been click button to upgrade and click yes. Not complex at all. I have a current hard drive that has been upgraded...
@ Dragonbite - AMD driver stopped working with a kernel, across the board, all distros that were updated regularly lost its support. I still have not tried the new new driver.

Coming back to...
@ - PoorGuy - Read the link below. I am sure you can understand, although you had no problems, a lot of people did. *Works for me* was an absolutely infuriating line to have thrown at you when your...
@QIII - Aha, that is good news. Does it work on 16.04 on 16.10 onwards?
@PoorGuy - The Catalyst drivers and Catalyst Control center were always available in the Additional Drivers menu up to...
No idea. My old laptop had an AM8 processor / GPU hybrid thing. It just would not work right under 16.04 and there was no AMD driver for it, just the open source ones. The line at the time was there...
Hmmm, the Bluetooth issue is something that has gotten progressively worse since 14.10'ish. How would research help me when in one release something works, then every subsequent release it gets...
Why should they have to fix Linux themselves, when they can get it to a shop and have it fixed for them, often for free if its within the first year or two of owning the device?
In addition, how...
A credit to Linux, I had a hard drive I updated between releases from 12.04 -16.04 and it never broke once. Incredible when you remember what upgrade day used to be like.
That said, every update...
Apple broken? In the UK, take it to the Apple Store, or even PC World. Often wherever you bought it from.
Your Linux install you put over the shop bought hardware is broken? Take it too....?
*Works for me* Sigh.
Does not help when it does not work for a heck of a lot of other people. As linked to in a post on the last page, theres a possible fix for bluetooth audio after 2-3 years of...
Hopefully so.
Now if I could just go into a store without having to Google what might and might not work first from blue tooth keyboards to printers, then we would be almost halfway there.
For...
Because Linux still does not 'just work'.
Bluetooth Audio's relentless regression since 14.10 in Ubuntu is a good example of that.
Same place the Firefox phones were. Not even ready for tinkers let alone prime time release. Spend much more time there and the world will have moved on by the time they get themselves sorted out.

At work we have an Ubuntu office. Email, design, marketting and office work in general.
At home I have an Ubuntu laptop which I use for gaming, blogging, freelancing, graphics, photography, video...
Because laptops take the same or similar hard drive and ram connections. The motherboards need to be shaped to the size of the laptop and battery, and the processor and graphics card are usually...
Just seen a trailer for Project Cars 2. Would be great if it worked on my laptop, but looks a lil out of my hardwares league heh.
Been Windows free since Gutsy Gibbon I think... Hardy Heron was where Ubuntu had 'made it' for me. 2008ish?
It is not that I hate Windows. But I just found I had no reason to go back. Once Linux...
Yeah its frustrating at this time though. Even the high end laptops and desktop monitors suffer from it. 4k desktop monitors are still silly money. I got a HP Pavilion x360 largely based on a central...
Huh. People still prattle on about Unity being a mobile interface eh?
Cannot remember ever having a debian compatibility issue. I have installed an awful lot of .debs over the years as well.
I...
I get the short 1 secound bongo sound.
I do not get and have not heard for ages the bongos with animal noises when the desktop starts up. Is that still in there?
