[ubuntu] Re: media player with equalizer

Er, I'm guessing you're referring to AmaroK, in which case the answer is yes. However, if you use Ubuntu and have not previously installed any KDE-based applications, you will have to download a...

[ubuntu] Re: media player with equalizer

In regards to the CMOS issue, this looks like a pretty good guide.

As far as media players go, I believe that Beep has an equalizer, as does the much heavier, KDE-based AmaroK. Also, VLC...

Re: Show Ubuntu to the world

I do not know about the laws in Hungary, but the store may not want to sell Linux Mint pre-installed, as it has proprietary codecs pre-installed, afaik (if I am wrong on this, feel free to correct...

    Poll: Re: ThinkPad Owners Thread

I'd say so. The Thinkpad premium isn't very much at all (although Lenovo doesn't have very cheap basic computers, their prices for mid- and high-range laptops are fairly competitive) and I have heard...

    Poll: Re: ThinkPad Owners Thread

Laptop screens tend to be very expensive (mostly due to lack of demand). As Whiffle pointed out, I would recommend getting a used one off of eBay, and possibly salvaging the screen if something else...

My T61 is coming up on about 10 months now, and I'm still very impressed by it. It does everything I need and the discrete graphics card is very nice for gaming and desktop effects (nVidia FTW).

Re: HowTo Install Grid War 2

If you are having random crashing, try disabling the game's sound and music (through the config menus). That fixed most of the random crashing for me. As far as installing goes, I would just download...

    Re: recommend a distro

Xubuntu or Fluxbuntu might work. I doubt that gnome can run very well on 32MB of RAM, though. Personally, I would go with DSL or Puppy. I think Puppy even has a LiveCD version that you can try out.
