    As mentioned above, Mir is going to be in the next Ubuntu. There will be fallback for X though if it doesn't work on people's computers. It's going to happen sooner than some people think.

    The emulator in the Android SDK isn't very good. If you're developing apps it's better to use an actual phone or tablet. If you're not developing apps then I would try something else. On Windows...

    Since I'm not paranoid, I'm not that fussed if there are backdoors in Skype. I'm happy to keep using it and have nothing to hide. A bit of accountability is sometimes a good thing.
