  2. [ubuntu] Nokia Xpressmusic 5310 - Syncing Contacts and Calendar

I am having trouble connecting to the Nokia Xpressmusic 5310 and accessing the calendar (over the USB cable). I'd like to eventually be able to sync it with evolution. I can connect to the micro-SD...

    Re: fsck on shutdown

I'm glad to see something done with this problem (it can be quite a headache to have to do a scan when running on battery). How about just providing an option simply to cancel the check or put a...

    Re: fsck on shutdown

I second this idea. There have been many times where I have wanted to boot quickly to check something and have been delayed by the fsck. Being forced to wait for it to finish and having no means of...

  9. Re: How To Install Enlightenment E17 The Easy Way

Thanks for the howto, it worked great. I'm having an issue with the fonts. The basic system font sizes are fine, but the font size in most of my applications is really big. See the picture to see...
  10. Re: [IDEA] Gutsy should default to setting up a separate home partition

Definitely, I was very glad I initially set up my system with a separate home partition (found out about it while searching for how to divide up my hard drive for dual booting). It's saved me...

Re: What Do You Love and Hate about Ubuntu?

Being able to put /home on a separate partition has saved me the many times I've had to reinstall Ubuntu (stupid beginner errors). One of the best things about linux in my opinion.
  12. Re: How do you manage your accounts info? Logins/Passwords?

I use a slip of paper with the name of the account and a word or two to remind me of which password I'm using, which anyone who didn't know the password wouldn't be able to guess the password from...

Poll: Re: Open Office vs. MS Office

I like Open Office, and Writer does fine for most (97%) of my word processing needs. However, Calc has a ways to go before it will match Excel (at least to do the kind of things I need it to do). I...
  16. Re: Which distro should Dell choose? (Dell Idea Storm - Linux)-DELL/VOTE CATCH ALL TH

I think it's a good move. It gives another option when looking to buy a computer since Linux is much cheaper (a.k.a. free) than Windows. The more options available, the greater chance of getting a...
