[all variants] Re: Ubuntu on Eee PC T101MT

mrspacklecrisp, thank you. Elementary looks interesting. Installed it from their ppa (ppa:elementary-os/daily). It looks like a hybrid of Gnome 3 and Unity.
But it's not touch friendly. May be KDE...
  2. [gnome] Re: Patch to add "up" and "home" buttons to Nautilus toolbar

    Thank you, kirby33.
I think it's time to create a ppa for auto-updating.
I pinned both nautilus and nautiluspatch in Synaptic on my system.

You can read my previous posts about MT on 2nd-gen - #962 and #963. I use GINN and UTouch.
Multi-touch gestures work (i.e. rotate and zoom in eog).
Better GINN gestures script is needed.

[all variants] Re: Ubuntu on Eee PC T101MT

You can still try uTouch+GINN if you install original xserver-xorg-input-evdev package. For me it does not work with Plippo's one.
Use command below or Synaptic (see my howto)

    sudo apt-get...

There is no hid_multitouch module in your lsmod output. It is not good. What version of xserver-xorg-input-evdev do you use - version from Plippo, or original Ubuntu 11.04...
