OK, STILL not fixed, but more info....and I'm over my head on this one.

The chipmunk audio goes back to normal if I delete the following file:

  6. [ubuntu] Re: Need suggestions tweeking xorg on Thinkpad T30 for Jaunty

Been there. They don't have any help beyond 8.04, and it sure seems what worked in 8.04 doesnt work on Jaunty
  7. [ubuntu] Need suggestions tweeking xorg on Thinkpad T30 for Jaunty

At least I think that's what I need. I had it working pretty good on 8.04, but with Jaunty graphics are slow, system runs hot, you know...the usual complaints on this forum.

    So, my Thinkpad uses...

[ubuntu] Re: Sound problem on resume

This didn't fix the problem either, but this did. I found this Pulseaudio guide at:

I followed all the steps in section A. (I'm running Jaunty...

  10. [ubuntu] Re: Played with display settings and now I can't see screen in Gnome

Thanks, that did it! Hours of searching, 10 seconds to fix it.
  11. Played with display settings and now I can't see screen in Gnome

I did something stupid. It's on Jaunty using Gnome on an old ATI graphics card. (Thinkpad T30)

I've been using Jaunty for about a week now with no problems, so I had to screw it up! I started...

[ubuntu] Re: Getting applets to see network at startup

OK, that's certainly one way to do it. The problem is, when I'm logging on to a new network it may take a minute or so to connect to the network. I was thinking more in the lines of trying to get...

Re: Can't get Flash 10 to work, flash 9 works ok

Not that I know of. This is an upgrade to intreped, but I am using just the assigned repositories, except for the addition of yours.

    Here you go:
