After last upgrade, KDE is not starting anymore.
I reach the KDE blue logo (with the rotating gear) and then just a black screen with the mouse pointer in the center.
startkde says KDE is already...

When listing files with "ls -la" I get this kind of output:

Since a few days the X part of my Kubuntu desktop is failing to start.
This is what I see in /var/log/Xorg.0.log:

Symptoms are that whatever I write in ~/.ssh/config is gracely ignored by SFTP and kept in consideration by SSH.

It looks like that sftp doesn't read the local user configuration file ~/.ssh/config, while ssh and scp do.
Am I missing something or what?

I've mounted a brand new Samsung SCX4623F multifunction printed (scanner, fax and printer).
The scanner and the printer worked fine out-of-the-box under Kubuntu 11.10.
But, what about the fax?...

Almost right. The issues are happening only with CD-RWs. I can write CD-RWs in the original drive ONLY WHEN BRAND NEW. And, once written, I cannot read or even get the disk-info with "cdrdao...

I took more time to make al tests from scratch. And the results are really puzzling.

Any medium other than CD-RW can be burnt and read back with either K3B or brasero.
CD-RWs fail in K3B unless they are brand new (never burnt).

I'm running KDE and am not using any PIM stuff.
I would like to avoid to start akonady and the related mysqld RDBMS.
