I always do a fresh install and advise anyone that will listen to do the same thing.
Been kicking the tires and trying it out like I do ever release. I was impressed enough with this one to install it. I have only used Unity for a few minutes until now, but I like it a lot.
I've used both and I prefer 32 bit.
Most people I know don't even want to talk about using anything but Windows, so I've given up on even trying to convert them. I think I need a new set of friends.
Windows has the mind share, they have the marketing, it comes on every new computer from everywhere. You can't escape it. With that presence you would expect Windows to dominate.
You didn't say what version of Windows you plan on using but Vista won't install on partitions of less than 40 GB. Even using XP you could fill that space easily if you add a lot of games.
It was funnier last year.
Vista is bloated and somewhat slow at some tasks but overall it runs well and I don't have any problems with it. I just like Linux better. jaunty is fast and I don't have to worry about security.
I'm not surprised by any of this. I stopped using PCLOS a long time ago because of a lot of crap that was going on. I think things have just built and built until something had to give.
I don't think you can remove/detect Conflicker with a LiveCD because you first need to patch your Windows system (if it is unpatched) and then you need to run an anti-virus software to scan for it. ...
Even if you could all it would affect would be your wine directory. All you would need to do is delete it (it is a hidden file) and then run winecfg and it would build you a new directory.

The wife and I eat out about the same as we ever did....which is a couple of times a week. We both work and it's hard to cook something every night.
I guess I'm a standards kind of guy, if my tweak up version of Jaunty can be called standard. :D
I'm always happy to find a cheap women. I can buy her a cheap Windows computer while I get to play with the expensive Mac computer. Cool.
You do know that Photoshop CS3 works fine with the latest wine, don't you? Or you can try Virtualbox to run CS4. You don't have to give up PS unless you want to.
I still use PS7 some and I use...
I use Seamonkey Composer. It does all that I need. Have you tried it?
Exactly. I use Ubuntu and openSuse and there is very little difference in the package system in general use.
I've never run other or neither. Where might I find them?
Microsoft has spoken with forked tongues in the past. I see no reason to believe otherwise this time.
Sounds to me like you need to be using openSuse. I know you've tried it and hated it. I did too at first. It's completely different from any other Linux I've ever tried. It was almost like starting...
This is something that relates to all "pay for" software and not just Windows. Most of the "pay for" software is priced much too steeply when you consider the free stuff is almost as good and...
I'm surprised someone hasn't already come out with Linus Linux.
The problem, it seems to me, is not with an particular OS but with society in general. Everyone seems to take things a wee bit too serious these days. Everything is taken to the extremes. Everyone is...
Do we have to start this battle yet again?
