    Re: Scorched 3D fonts

I'm guessing you're using XGL/Compiz? If so, go to the "One Thread to rule them all" and see the instructions for nonXgl which basically runs the game without XGL.

Re: Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising and Cedega

I think this has something to do with DirectX, since most other games -HL2 and farcry, are getting this. I just lived putting up with it, and it doesn't really bother me (at least in HL2, where only...

Re: vdrift font problems on dapper

It seems it's a problem with XGL. Try running "nonXgl vdrift" and see what happens
  4. Re: Howto: Make Dvd Videos From An Avi File

Poll: Re: KDE Control Centre versus System Settings

    Re: Free WineX/Cedega Download?

  8. Poll: Re: Poll: Gnome vs KDE

I prefer Gnome for the reason that it doesn't look like Windows (I've grown bored of the windows feeling), it runs faster (at least I feel it faster), and people that come and use my computer usually...
  9. Re: Office 2007 Beta - Better keep up, OpenOffice

From screenshots I've seen, only thing I notice is they completely overhauled the UI to include some eye-candy (and we know that usually means stuttering performance in most cases). Other than that,...

Re: HowTo: Install iRiverter on Breezy

    Re: favorite Bittorrent client?

I use Azureus but for some reason I can't download torrents (it doesn't connect?), so I guess I use the default one in Breezy. Transmission was quite good in OSX, so I'll try it in Linux and see how...
