[ubuntu] Re: Totally Boned my Partition Table

Thanks for the help! I'm just going to salvage the data from the partitions and start from scratch since I haven't been able to get a valid partition table created with testdisk or parted rescue.

Bah, humbug! parted rescue wants nothing to do with my partitions! I've been putting in start and end values in MB, is that correct? I've been converting from sectors (testdisk reports partition...

Thanks for the info. I have no idea whether the partitions are MBR or GPT, but I can say that both partitions were created during Ubuntu and Ubuntu Studio install processes, so they should be...

    Re: Fallout New Vegas

There are bugs popping up on the Wine bug tracker: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24831

    [ubuntu_studio] Re: panning in ardour

I have practically the exact same setup (Mono Guitar >> Mic >> Firepod >> Ardour >> Master Out) and you must have your cables crossed from your master out to your monitors. Just swap them and enjoy.

  10. [ubuntu] Re: What settings do I use on AutoTalent to make it sound like T-Pain?

Easiest way? Buy an expensive autotune plugin and don't use Linux.
  11. [ubuntu] Re: What settings do I use on AutoTalent to make it sound like T-Pain?

I'm assuming VocProc is a vocoder? The T-Pain style is over-the-top Auto Tune, which gives a similar but distinct effect. Sounds like AutoTalent (haha) is made for that. Experiment!

WTF?!? You don't STOP shredding! Stevie Vai will visit you in the night and molest you with his guitar's head stock.

How about a little "I am sitting in a room..." as a sound generating an image, then cat that image into audio, record and turn into an image, then cat that image into audio, etc.

  19. [ubuntu_studio] Re: alternatives to real bass (for ardour recording)
