Fuduntu won't be "dead" until September. Until then it is still supported, just like any non-rolling release distro. :)
Go into your BIOS and disable SecureBoot.
The problem that Unity, and along with it all of Canonical's code has is that to contribute to it you have to sign a contributor agreement that gives Ubuntu all rights to any code you push upstream. ...
Are you sure about that?

;)
There aren't very many FC14 packages remaining in...
I know, I was flying the LOL flag to make sure my comment came across as tongue in cheek and not offensive. :)
That's not entirely true. Applications outside of GNOME 3 itself are only just...
Except for that small company, RedHat who will be supporting it via RHEL 6 until 2020, but you know they are small and may not be able to handle the pressure. :lolflag:
GNOME 2 isn't dead, not as...
You just can't find a better UI than Windows 3.x + the Hotdog stand theme. People line up for miles to buy this wonderful software. It would serve Apple well to build an interface as intuitive and...
It isn't based on Fedora (and we wouldn't be allowed to say that it was even if it was). It's an independent Fedora fork. :)
No worries though, use whatever works best for you.
^^^ That
RHEL 6.x is fine for a server, or a mission critical workstation - but it makes little sense on a desktop or laptop. Fuduntu tends to be a good fit there and should be considered before landing on...
I've seen screenshots of people using those theme sets with Fuduntu.

Sorry, but that simply isn't true. We work directly with our user community and at times fix bugs while they wait. In addition Xubuntu and Lubuntu are ok platforms but we boot to ~160MB of RAM...
Try passing the 'nogpt' parameter to the bootloader when installing 64bit Fuduntu. When the initial bootscreen appears, press tab and then hit space (if needed) and add nogpt.
sudo yum install firefox steam
Me too! :lolflag:
Well, December 21 came and went with little fanfare. When the dust settled, the world didn’t end and the Fuduntu Team was told that they did, in fact, have to finish the 2013.1 release. So, after...
I'll let you know in around 30 minutes. Seriously though, we are an rpm based distribution.
:) I waited an hour before replying to this one just so I could keep it in sync.
):P
No we aren't, we forked from Fedora over a year ago, and exist as a completely independent distribution. We are headed in a completely different direction than Fedora. :D
FYI I've retired Jupiter effective today. Most of the problems Jupiter set out to resolve have been resolved. The remaining functionality has been merged into Fuduntu (applied power state kernel...
Fedora doesn't support GNOME 2 but we do.
We have a pretty thorough QA process and try to only introduce stable updates. We are in the business of providing a stable desktop, so we try to strive to achieve that using a waterfall development...
Fuduntu: kernel 3.6, very recent software, and GNOME 2. Also light on resources, and power friendly.
NP. We have a support forum for Jupiter at Fuduntu Forum: http://www.fuduntu.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=15
We don't support Ubuntu but we try to help where we can anyway.
The fix has been...
