I had not run that. All it shows me is the UUID codes for the three partitions on my local hardrive, not the UUID codes for the CIFS mounted drives.

Click on the System menu and open the Task Manager. Under the Process tab, you can find pulseaudio process and kill it. I just rebooted to restart it.
Having the robotic bad sound output as well with Skype 2.2. Using Ubuntu 10.04. Mic works fine, webcam works fine.

EDIT: I killed pulseaudio and restarted Skype and it seems to be working...
