If your using ubuntu all you need to do is "sudo apt-get install build-essential" to get gcc(I believe, please correct me if I'm wrong) as well as a bunch of other compilers designed for software...

How about modelling it off the documentation from the windows-program above? Would that work? Or are there a lot of internal differences between OS's that would make this counter-intuitive?...

As am I interested in understanding the plus of "for dummies" books in general. I have "Islam for dummies" and "Calculus for dummies" just collecting dust under a mountain of other more informative...

i poped in the windows 7 cd and checked for errors and i had a boot error so i told it to fix,...
