I had ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates as my nvidia driver source.

I removed it using



Then I reinstalled nvidia-current.

sudo apt-get purge nvidia-current

then


sudo apt-get install nvidia-current

After I ran an apt-get upgrade my Ubuntu 12.04 won't boot anymore.

I removed the contents that folder, but it seems nothing has happened. Also, my wifi passwords were not forgotten, i.e. I did not have to reenter my wifi passwords.
