i agree with Micky, Download Helper works best for me. You can speed up the process of download by copying the url and using Kget to download the flv. This is what I do. I also use Axel commandline...

You could use sound converter, transcode, ffmpeg etc.

You can find the commands for converting to flv over the internet.

My Best advice to you will be, uninstall the Kubuntu. Reinstall after formatting the hard Drive. Install K3B. Try again. Please use cheap CD or DVD this time. It would have been best if you could try...
