    I too have AMD dual core laptop, I run vmware 2.0 in 8.10 and it works fine. But I installed 32 bit package, because my ubuntu install is 32 bit optimized.

    I guess the secret is to just copy *.kdb file from your ubuntu ~/.passx.kdb to your Program Files folder in windows and vice versa. Works for me.

    another thing you might want to try is to make your time synchronize with internet servers. Go to 'System > Administration > Time & Date'. From there you can configure your time to sync.

    Thank you for your input. The thing is, I am using yakuake in gnome :,) So extra shift doesnt work for some or another reason. If I could get to where to change those shortcuts, Id also change Ctrl-C...

    which version of Fire Fox are you using? which linux distribution? can you start it in terminal and post the output (open terminal, type in firefox, press enter)?
