Re: How many of you completely switched to Linux?

If not for my FreeBSD backup server which runs the services necessary for Time Machine (my family members use Macintoshes), I would have been running exclusively Linux for about 6 months.

  6. Re: The creator of Sabayon asks is the apocolypse of FLOSS near?

The word "Apocalypse" conjures imagery of a melodramatic, cataclysmic end to something, but what is happening now seems to more of a slump if anything; "Apocalypse" is a very poor word choice....

Re: Car Performance Simulator for Linux

I'm certainly interested. Work on the usability a little more and put your finished product on Sourceforge; I'm sure you'll find that many people will make good use of it :)

    [ubuntu] Re: Cairo dock glitch

Install Docky. No, seriously, you'll have a much better experience with it. I stopped using Cairo Dock exactly because the bugs you mentioned eventually became typical of using it.

    [ubuntu] Re: Please Help :-)

[SOLVED] Re: Upgrading... fixed vs rolling releases

You can try backing up your /etc directory between upgrades. Also, if you want to try a rolling release distro, I'd suggest Arch.

    Re: iPhone Terrorist App

Why are they afraid? Because new technology scares the crap out of authorities, even if the potential to do the same action was present prior to the invention of said technology.

[SOLVED] Re: Two many linux distro's....???

Diversity is the biggest advantage of Linux. Different groups can develop different distributions for different purposes. If you want a centralised model, by all means support or use a BSD.
