    Thanks for the info guys. I had the hardest time trying to delete to copied files from CD's (maps usa and SIMs 2). Changing to the given directory and typing sudo rm -r (files), took care of it.

    Download and burn the ISO (ubuntu-live-iso). The ubuntu live cd also allows you to make partitions necessary for ubuntu.

    Download the ISO from ubuntu for hardy heron. Install it. There is a part in the installation that deals with partitions. There is a scrolling bar that allows you to choose how much space you want...

    I think its just easier if you dual-boot..I hate windows but I only use it for itunes and games...I use the VM to use solaris, fedora, open-suse, and mandriva...just to check them out and see how...
