You may want to download Audacity.
You can record your voice with it, edit already existing audio files and export them as MP3, etc.
Audacity is free and you can easily cut or mix some audio...
My best guess right now would be, that the kernel is "panicking".
I'm no kernel expert, so the best advice I can give with the information you have provided, is to reinstall Ubuntu :(
Hey,
You could try opening your package manager (e.g. Synaptic), then finding and installing the packages "phonon-backend-gstreamer", "gstreamer-ffmpeg" and "gstreamer-plugins-bad".

Hello, baba88!
I think you could first tell us some details.
Are you running an 32-bit or 64-bit version of Ubuntu?
I don't think it's a good idea to reveal your email address here. I also think this is the wrong forum to ask that kind of a question, this is Ubuntu forum, so we deal with Ubuntu-related matters.

Geez, guys...
He's asking for help with Transmission, not to list all possible alternatives for Transmission :/
I am not experiencing any trouble at all. First try ibizatunes' way, but if it doesn't work, then..
Check if Transmission has any updates from the Software Center, or then there is this second way...
I can confirm that this QuickCam driver doesn't work on Maverick (10.10).
My QuickCam Messenger Plus (046d:08f6) works out of the box with Cheese.
Right-Click on the empty space on the right. You may be able to delete the empty space, the separator.
Open "nvidia-settings" and try the settings
What is your pc's architecture?
Can you copy the output of "uname -m", please ;)
You should install GRUB before you update. How can you not have GRUB installed? Do you have a dual-boot or just Ubuntu on your PC?
sudo apt-get install grub2
To install GRUB.
You can get some eye candy by installing
'compiz' and 'fusion-icon'. Run "fusion-icon" after installing it and select Compiz as the window manager, then install "ccsm" or "CompizConfig Settings...
If you ask me, you should remove the links from the Software Sources (System-->Administration-->Software Sources) that get a 404.
With the key error, do this:
gpg --keyserver...
You should try Synaptic.
System-->Administration-->Synaptic Package Manager.
You can use "su -" for root access, then you can put back the rights.
Oh, and do that in the console.
It will ask for a password which is NOT your user password. It's 'superuser' password. I am...
Thanks gosh nVidia.
It's easy. You could open console and run "nvidia-settings"
There you will find the screen resolution:

This has happened to me, too. I think I found it from Applications-->Other
Search through the Applications.
Edit your Xorg.conf file
<gksu gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf>
Then, find something similar like this:
Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "Device0"
Monitor ...
189% usage? That...doesn't sound right..
Everything happens when you do that. "ifconfig wlan0 up" starts your wireless adapter.
