All you had to do was delete your ~/.gtkrc-2.0. KDE, gtk-theme-switch, and gtk-chtheme use that file to set gtk2 theme, gtk2 icons, gtk2 font, etc. The GNOME theme manager does not use ~/.gtkrc-2.0....

Cause all of those games except Generals Zero Hour are official supported by Cedega. That might be your best bet if you want to play them in Ubuntu.

Ubuntu can be GNOME specific. That doesn't prevent them from offering another CD or two which would include programs not included in the default Ubuntu install like KDE. So people can easily install...
