    Re: Dark Oberon - Howto

Thank you. I was having a real heck of a time trying to compile this on my own. I guess that's why we have the search feature ;)
  3. Re: I'm going to create some Ubuntu tutorial videos, what to use?

Again, thank you so much! This will really help me out. When I'm done with them (in a few weeks probably), I will stick them on the web for others to download if they like (free of course).
  4. Re: I'm going to create some Ubuntu tutorial videos, what to use?

    Thank you!
  5. I'm going to create some Ubuntu tutorial videos, what to use?

I'm installing 4 new computers for a client of mine, and putting them all on Drake. To simplify things, I'm going to give them some lessons on how to use Ubuntu. But I also plan to make several...

    ok, so I did:

    sudo dpkg --force-all -i Democracy-0.8.2-i386-ubuntu.deb

    Re: a gaming repository

I have plenty of hosting but I'm no programer. So if someone wants to make the scripts, I'm willing to setup a host.

    pm me.
  8. Re: Speculation: Old Linux WoW Port perhaps?

It honestly wouldnt suprise me. It could just be that a lot of the work was done on a Mac or on a Nix box. A lot of times, games are built on different systems then they are actually played on. ...
  9. Re: Tremulous Release is Tonight - Let's play!

I'll give it a try. The more good games the better.
  10. Re: Tremulous Release is Tonight - Let's play!

Be sure to change 'SOURCE' to internet (it seems to default to LAN), and then click 'get new list'.

Re: Looking for a good game

for shooting, http://www.tremulous.net/ just came out 2 days ago. REALLY fun. This coming from a windows gamer. Also, Savage is a great game.
  12. Re: Tremulous Release is Tonight - Let's play!

I played quite a bit last night and today. Also, READ THE MANUAL and the quickstart guide. It will help you out a LOT. REally fun 'run and gun' game with some added semi-RTS stuff. I'll be...

    Re: trying to install UT2004

It may very well be, but I tend to backup all of my Games / media before I run them. I made an ISO of the dvd, mounted the iso, then ran everything from there and it ran great. The updates where a...

    Kuma War

Anyone ever attempt to get Kuma\War to work in Wine or Cedega? I can't seem to find anything on the subject. I get nothing but errors on my attempts.

  17. Re: Cedga - Can I just pay for one month and have it still work?

If they figure out a way to get PB working, then I will pay. Heck, I'll pay for a year just to help out. But as of now, it doesn't do much for me.
  18. Re: Is it a dream that games could be programed for both Win and Linux ?(like HL2,Unr

ID has a good model. By providing binaries for linux, they are [I]really[I] able to squeeze every last dime. There are a number of gamers who don't actually have windows.
  19. Re: Is it a dream that games could be programed for both Win and Linux ?(like HL2,Unr

But it does look pretty ;) I'm actually pretty excited about the new file manager. I have a current hatred for EVERY filemanager I have ever used to date.
  20. Re: Cedga - Can I just pay for one month and have it still work?

OK. Not paying for this. Or using it anymore. Punkbuster doesn't work at all. Of course, that makes BF2 pointless. I found 1 server in the past 2 days that I could play on. ONE.

    Re: Game Review: Slune

Good stuff, thanks for the review. I think I'll try it out when I get home. I miss my Ubuntu here at work :(
  22. Re: Is it a dream that games could be programed for both Win and Linux ?(like HL2,Unreal)

There are a lot of games made for both. ID software makes Doom3 and the Quake series for both platforms. The list is quite long, I won't name them all.

However, you are correct that a LOT of...

Looks good! I'd drop $5 to play and help support you.
  24. Re: Cedga - Can I just pay for one month and have it still work?

Oh. Hmm. I think I can still swing with that. I really wish they had punkbuster working inside BF2. I'm sure it's a PB issue not a cedega issue, but still, that would really be great.
