    [ubuntu] WPA recovery

I seem to have forgotten/lost my WPA code, but I'm still connected to it via network manager, how can I recover it?

    [ubuntu] Re: Install crash 79%

It seems to be a problem with gparted in Ubuntu; I installed Debian, wiping the partition, and was able to install Ubuntu after that.

    Colour depth

Is there any way to change the default colour depth for wine?
I can set X to 16bpp, which is what I need for a game to run decently, but that means I can't use CompizFusion.

    [ubuntu] Re: Install crash 79%

No report, unfortunately. I don't know about migration because my old home directory had all settings and such deleted, just leaving music and documents and all that.

    [ubuntu] Re: Install crash 79%

After having Debian installed briefly, I was able to install Ubuntu with no problems. Maybe a bug with formatting partitions?

    [ubuntu] Re: Install crash 79%

I don't think it is; all my files are still intact. I ran badblocks and it didn't return any results.

    [ubuntu] Re: Install crash 79%

I successfully installed on a separate, empty partition and can still access files on my old home partition, but this is quite an annoyance.

    [ubuntu] Install crash 79%

I'm installing Ubuntu 9.04 with /home on a separate partition. When the installer gets to 79%, "creating user", ubiquity just crashes.

Minor annoyance, but when I have the rain effect enabled and I lock the session, the "unlock" screen does not appear. I just get a blank screen, though I can still enter my password to unlock the...

This annoys me too, but I can't seem to find a fix.

[kubuntu] Re: [SOLVED] k menu button disappeared

I also had the KDE menu button mysteriously disappear soon after updating to Intrepid, though I was able to recreate the button.

    Re: This computer with Ubuntu?

I have the same processor... It seems to have a slight apic compatibility issue with all distros, but it's not a real problem.

    Seems good, anyway. ;)

Sounds like a connection problem, or the server is overloaded. I'd go for the latter.
