Like the title says, my keyboard stops responding after putting the system to sleep. I can wake it up using an FN key combination, but after that it stops working completely. I'm using a lenovo x61...
Searched all over for this, but couldn't find it. I'm trying to patch a kernel on an embedded machine running 10.04, and the patch is required to get touch, wifi, bluetooth, etc. working. However, I...
Reinstalling the graphics drivers after the "Busid" section from xorg fixed it. Thank you alfredska and avtolle, for helping me fix what was wrong with my system.
When I removed that, nothing happened. I think when I originally installed the card, I did sudo apt-get install xorg-driver-fglrx, but that didn't work, so I found other drivers.
Doing that changed my driver to VESA and forced me to start in low graphics mode. :(
I have my driver set as fglrx, but it identifies my graphics card as vesa. I can't click on the vesa part, as it doesn't do anything.
Doing that helped my screen resolution problems, but the 2d/3d still seems to be barely working. (I can see the screen refresh whenever I scroll, it is very slow)
My graphics card is not being correctly identified. It lists it as a Graphics card (VESA driver (generic)) Then it asks me to choose my driver.
Yes i'm using an ATi card. Also, it looks like my screen isn't at 1680x1050 as I previously thought, but at 1240x1024. Sorry I don't know how to do scrollable boxes.:)
This morning when i first booted up Ubuntu, I noticed there were a lot of updates to be installed. I downloaded and installed them all, only to find my system wouldn't properly reboot with the new...
After the vista reformat, it does the same thing. I originally reformatted it using ubuntu, which is why i think the process may have gone wrong.
I tried using the proprietary drivers, and it said the installed, but even after reboot, CCC will not start because lack of drivers, and aticonfig lists them as not installed.
EDIT: Looking in my...
I decided to dual boot ubuntu and vista, and used my old xubuntu HDD. i reformatted it using gparted w/ntfsprog and it said the operation went succesfully. Now it says all of the space in it is free,...
The other day i decided to upgrade my graphics card from my somewhat old X300. I decided to go with a HD 4850 as phoronix lead me to believe that it was supported....
I,ve been messing around with themes and such today, and finally found one that fits my taste. Unfortunately, my "Menu Bar" seems to have turned the wrong color. The menu bar is the...
