Sorry I misunderstood you, I watch iplayer with Firefox mostly and use get_iplayer for downloading stuff, never bothered with the Adobe thing.
  2. [xubuntu] Re: BBC Iplayer does.... nothing. how do I go about fixing it?

I think there is a problem at the BBC end, I was watching it an hour ago but now it isn't working for me either, so I would suggest you do nothing until tomorrow.

  16. [SOLVED] Re: Is it possible to dual boot XP and Ubuntu on Netbook

I dual boot XP and Kubuntu on my Acer One no problem at all, that has a 160 GB drive like yours so I would say try it. Compiz runs pretty good on the Acer too.

Don't know if it's useful or not but if searching amongst old records you will need to look at 78s, I would imagine some lessor known Rock'n Roll would have been thought of as "underground" in them...
