It is a coincidence. Never click to go to a "secure" account from an email. It is social engineering form of hacking, a fishing scam. Just go directly to Paypal. No problem. No stress.

I'm excited! Can I now ditch Windows for good? I am a couple of...
The great thing is that you will soon get a Netflix app for your Chrome browser from the Chrome market and finally be able to stream Netflix in Linux!!!!
Take gnome 3, create a retro plugin to make it look/function like the old Gnome then fork it to "Classic Ubuntu". I am sure others have thought of this idea or something similar. Not everyone will...
Yes you can run gnome programs. I installed Xubuntu desktop in my standard Lucid Ubuntu. I log into Xubuntu as my default desktop now. Works great.
Unity = binary turd
IMHO
):P
Whatever works for whoever, but I am not convinced of the superiority of Unity over the old Gnome desktop - for MY personal desktop use.
Imagine: If the hypothetical time line went like this -...
After reading this article it is very confusing why Unity is now the default desktop environment of Ubuntu.

Tried it. Don't like the look or feel. Guess I am a minimalist at heart that values simplified, fast code. Moved on to XFCE 4.8.
Just not interested in Unity. Moving to XFCE. I can't see any point to Unity, nor do I like the look. Just my humble opinion.
My first look at Unity I thought, oh it's not too bad. Played around with it, found it rather pointless. If I wanted icons on the side I could create my own links and do the same thing - plus be able...
Choice is what I believe Linux is about. I am considering a rolling release that comes ready to use, light and free of the current desktop debates, familiar feel...

If the option remains to choose Gnome desktop that would be great but I read on this forum that Gnome will be dropped after Natty. Is this true or not?
Maybe xubuntu will be my future desktop environment when Ubuntu ditches Gnome...

Yes, I have the problem. I've searched for an answer but have found none other than restarting Firefox. Also problem is in other browsers.
I agree with danboid. Just look around this forum and see the amount of confusion grub brings to new users. And we were all new to linux at one time. Yes, grub is the funkiest part to deal with and...
I love the idea. I don't like being locked into quickly outdated releases. I don't like the re-installation to get the latest, greatest OS. This is the missing piece to making Ubuntu a near perfect...
It comes with Ubuntu 8.04 so it WORKS with Ubuntu.
Sounds interesting for the price! I am tempted.
I think it is a move to stand out from the crowd of Linux distros in a very distinctive way. A creative ploy. Just wish some old bugs were fixed first. If the bugs are still in the Unity version,...
Another choice is to install the Seamonkey suit. It has a nice html editor, composer with a "c".
I am glad you posted this problem. My feeble attempts at solving this haven't worked, such as switching to Chrome.
let's see if someone knows of a simple solution. It is annoying.
When you type in your password in the terminal you won't see it. Just type it and hit enter. It is a security feature.
I have an iPod touch. It became much more fun after it was jailbroken, but I won't buy another one, or an iPad. You can't change the battery. The replacement program is a ripoff in my opinion. So,...
