Ok, I installed "fglrx" and "fglrx-amdcccle" via Jockey aka "Additional Hardware GUI app".
Everything seems to be working ok.

Will Ubuntu update proprietary AMD drivers ( 12.5, 12.6, etc. ) in their repo, once AMD releases them?
If so, should I install "fglrx" or "fglrx-updates" in order to get the driver...
Advantages of proprietary drivers over open source ATI are:
uses less power,
better 3d
fan control, etc.
