Seems no one has any idea yet...
Have toshiba, 1080, Intel i5-4200u, Ubuntu 14.04.....MY fan is NOT coming on at all.
tried that dell trick...no luck, you try "thinkfan" but it really did...
1- Ubuntu Version / 14.04
2- Manufacture / Toshiba
3- P55-A5312
(Upgraded to SSD w/Win 8.1)
(replace DVD/Rom with 1TB drive(with a few EXT4 partitions))
