I just came across this problem. The only player that could 'see' my cd was vlc.
However, looking at it, I notice kscd was looking for my cd at /dev/cdrom. I didn't have /dev/cdrom, only /dev/cdrom2...

I've had this setup for agaes and it's always worked brilliantly. Just lately it's saying that my Harmony 525 has firmware 2.6 and latest is 3.0 and tries to update the firmware, but ofcourse fails...
I'm trying to get this card running, without any luck.
I upgraded to Intrepid so as to use lataest kernel because I read in a bug that it supported it. So this is what I see module wise:
