I did that and installed those drivers john.nishinaga had written about. Good news is that kernel hasn't crashed. Bad news - the device still can't connect to the network.
@john
do you use 32b...
Unfortunetly I've got a kernel panic again (it said something about 8192cu), so I uninstalled this driver. Is it possible that my kernel is broken somehow? Maybe I have to reinstall it?

I found ndiswrapper.conf and removed it.
With no device plugged in I've got empty output.
After plugging in N13 there was no crash, but I still can't connect to the network. Output of dmesg...

So I went through syslog once again after kernel panic but there is no sign of this reboot. System crash has no entry in syslog.
I don't know how to get panic's logs so I've simply taken pictures...
Any clues what else can I do?
During last reboot (17:40) both my cellphone and N13 were removed. In previous one, yes I suppose it's my phone.
I unplugged all my internet connections and rebooted.
"sudo cat /var/log/syslog | grep ndis" from last hour:

I removed and blacklisted "rtl8192cu", removed an old netrtwlanu and installed new one. Then I've plugged my ASUS adapter in and... got a kernel panic:/
I rebooted and tried pugging in again and...
I have a 64-bit version.
EDIT:

I'm afraid I don't remember all of that... I've installed firmware from Asus CD, drivers from Ralinktech website and DKMS staff from here. I thought I had uninstalled everything but apparently not....
Hi!
I've bought an ASUS N13 Adapter charmed by a shiny "Linux support" sign. Unfortunately I couldn't install it on my Ubuntu 11.10. I tried following the manual (with this fix), I tried...
