    Hmm, I changed the script to point to /usr instead of /usr/local as my current e17 stuff is in /usr/bin & /usr/lib. It compiled acouple of apps but choked on e:

    You need to install the GNU C compiler "gcc" Do a search in Synaptic & you'll find it.
