You could always just download it without attempting to use Windows data files. Slow, I know, but you will at least be able to play it.
Alternatively, you could use the Intel graphics drivers installer:

Yeah, from a budget perspective, the money you would put into a windows license can be put into a better GPU, or a better CPU, more RAM, etc. It's personal choice, but with the costs of windows...
It's the same with private servers. Difference is, you usually launch the wow executable directly, rather than through the launcher. Something like "wine wow.exe" instead of "wine launcher.exe".
Thanks for sharing! I'm an Aussie, and totally hate the censoring of the game. My friends and I usually play L4D1 only because the zombies don't disappear on that (the disappearing bodies is very...
You definitely need the Intel GPU drivers. That being said, even with those drivers, performance will be poor with that card.
This watermark has been really annoying, they should sticky the fix in this forum.
I agree, and the Nvidia drivers are far better than the Intel drivers on Linux, particularly in regards to gaming
A little more information would help us with your problem. What sort of machine are you running? What graphics card are you using? Are you running with the binary drivers for that card (eg are...
AMD, not Linux or Ubuntu, has discontinued support for all video cards before the HD5XXX series. That means that the HD 4XXX series are now stuck on legacy drivers (this is also the case for...
The Penumbra series are on there for just over $1. They are first person viewpoint, but no shooting. Indeed, in that game you actually have to hide from bad guys. Check out Amnesia the Dark Descent...
Valve are having a massive Linux Steam sale at the moment. The games are mainly 50-75% off, and all 100% Linux compatible through steam. Furthermore, if you play TF2 on Linux you get a Linux only...
This does look cool! The videos on youtube are good too. Should be proud!
Hi! The Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4 was released today, and it stresses your system more than ever (huge drop in my fps compared to the older version). Because I was interested in seeing how the...
Office 2010 is working pretty well in Crossover
have you installed the proprietary drivers? That GLX output looks like the drivers havent been installed for 3D gaming (eg install nvidia drivers if you have nvidia, or catalyst if you're running...
Problem is that WINE uses single core processing (without hacked versions) that will mean despite your cores, you will be running a bit slower than windows. Have you applied any tweaks to improve...
The 4200 shouldn't overheat naturally... they don't make cards that overheat on purpose. That being said, indeed, AMD has abandoned the 4XXX series and below cards from the latest catalyst drivers. ...
I find that it's easier to use a GUI for configuration of joysticks. You can download the jstest-gtk from the Ubuntu Software Centre (makes life easier)
Definitely not complaining about your benchmarks at all Subverse! You did really well, and it should be nice and easy for others to understand.
My comments on compositing were more to do with...
Great job guys, looking forward to playing it! May I just make a note, perhaps it's not best to encode the movies with WMV for us Linux users ;)
The folder you referring to isn't actually where steam keeps its appfiles. The actual folder is in your home folder, and is located at /home/YOURUSERNAME/.local/share/Steam
From there, the...
Interestingly enough, the older benchmarks of KDE SC had higher performance than in this benchmark, and they do mention in the older benchmarks the suspension of desktop effects, which are not...
Please note that the version of KDE that they are benchmarking is 4.9.9.8 which is not the current release version. Also, are they suspending desktop effects? I can't see that (they usually list KDE...
