[ubuntu] Re: Installing on a Mac Mini 2011

Did you boot into rEFIt and sync partitions? You may need to hold alt to get the boot screen where you may select rEFIt. There are lots of other posts and instructions if you look.

[ubuntu] Re: Installing on a Mac Mini 2011

Boot to your Mac OS side and download rEFIt, install it from the dmg, then reboot (holding alt/option), chose rEFIt, and then fix partitions. Go from there :)

[ubuntu] Re: Installing on a Mac Mini 2011

I had a much easier time installing 11.10 on my "Mac mini Server mid 2011" but am unable to get wifi or sound to work. I was wondering if you had these issues, and how you might get around them.

When I resize a window and drag the cursor to the other monitor, the cursor moves but the window stays at the edge of the monitor it was on. This makes sense for maximizing, and I found that it can...

[ubuntu] Re: Connect to an IPSec VPN server?

Are you using network-manager and see the other tabs (ie. Wired, Wireless)?
I'm not completely certain as I don't have any machines still running the LTS, but network-manager should be similar.

    [ubuntu] Re: vpnc Assistance

Some campuses also use VPN to secure wireless traffic, rather than bothering with WPA[2]. This seems to be the case with your university.

You might find it easier to install the package...

[ubuntu] Re: Connect to an IPSec VPN server?

You probably want to install the package network-manager-vpnc (and it's dependencies), it will allow you to add IPSec based VPN connections in the menu you are looking at.:)
  12. [ubuntu] Re: [SOLVED] ssh server not responding after ~20mins

I was running into a similar problem, but think I found the culprit. If not logged in locally (either log out, or fresh reboot) my box will not be on the network. On my machine running Desktop...
