    Good start :-) but the string I want ends with " and not /.
    Your solution gets me the bit from the 13th slash - which is what I want - till the next slash - which gets me too much

    kerry_s: Yes, I had the suspicion there may be a conflict there somewhere, but it seems wmctrl still looses out after applying your tweak.

    As it says in the error message, it seems you don't have permission to create a share in the directory in question. Try creating a folder in your home directory and share that.
