    Looking to buy a laptop

I'm buying my first laptop soon, and wasn't entirely sure what was the best deal. I'm poor, so both of these are pretty low-quality regardless of how you look at it.

My first choice is a Dell...

    Repository log?

Is there any log of all changes to the repositories, or changes to individual packages? I'm trying to figure out which version of WINE I would have had before Photoshop broke :(

My school's IT personnel are crazies

My high school has a long history of simultaneously having a very nice internet connection and a group of IT managers with a God complex. They've taken meticulous care in blocking almost every proxy,...

    I think...
  9. Re: HOWTO: Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06: New Guide

I have the Wacom thing too. I'm not sure why it's there, but you can safely comment out the device references if you also comment out "stylus", "cursor", and "eraser" in the "Server Layout" section...
  10. Re: HOWTO Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06 32 bit, based on endy's HOWTO

lmctl only gives me 002.002: 046d:c50b Unknown or Unsupported Logitech device, presumably because I have an MX700, and it's actually a "Logitech USB Receiver." Cruise still doesn't work.

    Does...

Ok, my MX700 now works _almost_ perfectly, however...

My Cruise Control buttons "work" per se, but not as I'd like. Instead of cruise scrolling, they slowly inch down the screen--and only if...

Having installed my ifty new ubuntu system, I tried to use apt-get to install several applications supposedly available according to the unofficial guide-thing.
However, on attempting the install of...
