    Re: Functions or seperate scripts?

As far as I know, watch are using sh to run commands. And since sh doesn't support shell functions, watch doesn't work with shell functions, either.
But I asked what the fastest way was. I have...

    Functions or seperate scripts?

    Hi!
I currently have a separate file with all my aliases and functions that I source via .bashrc. But would separate scripts be faster (in e.g. ~/bin)?
Functions are, as I understand, loaded into...
  6. Re: If I get virus on linux can it transfer to the windows parition?

There's not malwares that actually works very well in Wine. I guess that they're too lazy to make the malware support Wine. But yes, some malware can run in Wine. And software executed via Wine have...
  7. Re: How much proprietary software does Ubuntu contain?

Ubuntu's trademark policy prohibits commercial redistribution of exact copies of Ubuntu, denying an important freedom.

The problem here is that new users may not know how to to that, and...

    Ingen orsak. ;)
    Glad you found a solution.
  9. Re: How much proprietary software does Ubuntu contain?

Of course, Google knows alot about the users. That's not what the thing is about. The thing is that freedom means that you choose when and what to be logged. If you are using Google, you have...
  10. How much proprietary software does Ubuntu contain?

    Hi!
I have thought of this a long time now.
"How much proprietary software does Ubuntu really contain?"
I actually asked this question on Ubuntu-On-Air a few month ago and got the answer "None"....
  11. Re: PHP to check/test text-content on another site.

Valpskott, it's fun to see some Swedes here! :D
    This should work:

    <input type="text" name="email" id="email" required>
Edit: saw that epicoder proposed exactly the same solution that I did. #-o

  15. [all variants] Re: Can I prevent users from filling up the /tmp-folder?

Yes, I saw it. That means I can only enable a limit on a whole partition, not only a directory?

  17. [all variants] Re: Can I prevent users from filling up the /tmp-folder?

No. The .thunderbird-folder is in the ~-folder (/home/.../.thunderbird). I want to limit the usage of /tmp and /home (but not ~/.thunderbird).

  19. [all variants] Can I prevent users from filling up the /tmp-folder?

A normal user has read and write access to the /tmp-folder. If someone decides to "block" other users from using the system, the person can just fill up the /tmp-folder until it's full (with echo...
