Exactly, people tend to dismiss music as something that needs to be studied. They say they don't need theory to play. I wonder what would they say if we repeat that about programming. "Blah, I don't...
Best advice you can get. Please ignore the people saying "don't learn". Go out and find someone who gives private lessons, preferably a guitar player with a solid background in music (studied in some...
Disagree.
"Ubuntu" sounds perfect in spanish, which is one of the three most spoken languages in the world.
The fact that so many people aren't excited about the new release means that the one they are using now is already pretty good.
So it's a good thing :)
Same here for me. It's happening since the update to the -21 kernel. I tried restarting and using the -19 but seems to be also broken.
I'll take a look at the code as a process of learning python. :)
Seems like a nice language.
It seems to be another "I don't like the default theme so WE should change it, so THEY can benefit from it" thread.
Mmm just tested what you said and it works for me.
Selecting the text layer, then using the text tool and clicking on the text opens the same dialog to edit the text. Are you 100% positive that...
On the Layers window, right button on the text layer, choose "Text Tool" and it opens the initial dialog box to type text, where you can change it.
There must be an easier way though.
English + native Spanish
In case someone is wondering what plugin is he talking about, here is a copied fragment from the url he posted:
It seemed much more complicated than that. If I didn't read wrong, Chrome compiles javascript to native code. That feature only seems difficult to implement.
It's just a problem with the english word 'free' which stands for two totally different meanings.
Then people should rethink their definition of 'fun'. If doing something repetitive, stupid, which requires none of the abilities that makes us different than a machine, is 'fun', then, boo :(
Yes, a lot of people play games. And linux has games, I play mahjong (still can't spell it correctly).
The point was about hardcore games, those that need 3Gb of RAM, an hexa-core processor, and a...
Sorry, I have read this post three times already, and still don't understand it, except for the last sentence, and in response to that, I repeat myself, you can make perfectly clear that ubuntu is...
Silly thread. How many people play those hardcore games that can't be (easily) run under ubuntu? 0.001% of the pc users base?
Definitely not a priority and unimportant (if that word exists)
Awesome! I wonder how I never noticed that.
Again, the warnings are OK, the problem is how they are presented. If I say "YOU ARE STUPID" is one thing, if I say "YOU ARE NOT THE BRIGHTEST PERSON I'VE MET", I may be saying the same thing (I know...
I would use it to view myspace pages with adobe's flash plugin
thanks ubuntu27, but are those official sites? There is no official ubuntu.com for any other than english right?
It's spanish the one I need.
I haven't found the way to show ubuntu.com to a friend who doesn't speak (or read) english. I could use google translate, but... aren't there different versions of the ubuntu.com site for different...
Any idea where can I see more info about this?
I think Ubuntu looks great and polished.
