I just installed xubuntu 12.04, not using PPA's, tried to install VCL and got the same list of depends.. don't know where to start to fix this.

similar problem in Kubuntu, state doesn't change and switching from performance to powersave is no longer and option. I just noticed it no longer switches when plugged or unplugged either:(

All of a sudden after the last update my toshiba satellite fan runs constantly. I'm using kde on lucid lts.. hopefully the next update will fix it.
I now have 4 options to print, cups-pdf, print to file(pdf), print to file(postscript) and print to printer. File is a .pdf and adobe will not open it... just tried Ocular and it opens it fine so...
Cups-pdf and another one i have installed used to work fine but for some reason now Adobe can't read the pdf files.. i get an error message saying file corrupted or incomplete. anybody got a solution?

was running lucid 2.6.32-32-generic just fine but after a normal update installed 2.6.32.33 it won't detect my linksys wireless router.. wired works fine.
went back to 2.6.32-32-generic and it works...
Just a thought but my router has always been on mixed mode and i noticed that i always connect 'n' instead of 'G or B' like everybody else on our network.. i switched to 'b/g' mode so i'll see if...
well it turns out i have the same card.. WiFi Link 5100 AGN and my system is 64bit and the router i connect to is a dlink 628 or something like that.

This seems to be an issue with my L350 as well, wireless is fine and dandy in windows but intreped i disconnect repeatedly often requiring a reboot.
