    I screwed up after the blacklist section. I forgot to reboot (i had to write down teh instructions then boot back into ubuntu and try it..I left that part out.

    If i follow these same steps again...

    I have this exact problem.

    It connects fine, great signal strength..just can't use it. I actually had a little glimmer of hope when it let me connect once, just ONCE, with my router (192.168.1.1)...

    You seem REALLY new to linux and wine can be confusing or frustrating (especially if it doesn't work correct the first time) for a new linux user....
