Re: Conky Google Calendar Python Script

Guess my template's broken. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

EDIT: Yeah at some point I guess the template format changed from <> to [] and I was running a really out of date...

Re: Conky Google Calendar Python Script

I got it figured out. I had US Holidays in there, but that is not my calendar, its Google's. That's why it wouldn't work, too bad it didn't give an error that made sense.

Re: Conky Google Calendar Python Script

I keep getting this error when I try to run it.

    ERROR: getAllEvents:Unexpected error:{'status': 400, 'body': 'Invalid UserId en.usa', 'reason': 'Bad Request'}

    I've checked and double checked...

Poll: Re: What is your favorite Web Developing Tool?

Thanks for that! Will be very useful redesigning my site.

Is it just my site or do most sites look terrible in Dillo? Nothing but the text or pics work.

Personally, I use Bluefish. It's nicer...

Poll: Re: Should Windows go Open Source

You forget that MS couldn't open source Windows even if it wanted to (which is clearly doesn't). There is so much code in it that is stolen, borrowed, or licensed from elsewhere that releasing it...
  10. Re: Could you do all this with a computer monitor successfully?

Yes, except that one doesn't have a tunner built in. So you can't plug cable straight into it. If you have an HD cable box and a HDMI switcher, then you can do everything you want. I think the 360...

Re: A friends "Customized XP Install"

I think she has no idea what she is talking about and is possibly making stuff up. People do it all the time when they are talking about stuff like computers.

I signed up and put my approxamite location on the map. I'll check back later, I'm hoping you can get some more english translation, cause it is very confusing right now.

Re: Where can a 16 year old get a job?

You're quite rude then and don't show any appreciation to those who work very hard to serve you. Waiters don't even get minimum wage most of the time and rely entirely on tips.

    Anyway, grocery...
  14. Re: I am making tux in Auto desk inventor, any tips.

Make the salt shaker have the black and white parts reversed. Should look pretty cool.

Are you actually making these afterwards?

  16. Re: Looks like a Linux Amazon MP3 downloader is coming

Ugh, this is great news and I'd really like to use this, but as long as I can't redownload the songs I buy I don't think I will be buying them here. I just can't imagine spending a bunch of money on...
  17. Re: Hibernate between 2 OSes, without reboot possible?

Ok, I see you are right, but there should be a pretty easy way to solve this. From here:

  18. Re: Hibernate between 2 OSes, without reboot possible?

Hibernation should cleanly unmount and mount the partitions. It just dumps the ram to swap and load the swap to ram when loaded. Don't think their is any danger in mounting a hibernated partition.

    Re: Filesharing on Campus

DC++ is really nice. It has clients for most systems, built in IRC, and it is easy to force users to share a minimum amount. Wish we had one on this campus.
  20. Re: Hibernate between 2 OSes, without reboot possible?

My laptop does this. When I hibernate Ubuntu is basically shuts down with the session saved. When I turn it back on I get grub and can select Windows if I want. And when I reboot into Ubuntu it just...

Re: FF3 Beta 3 is awesome

I'm actually using the SwiftFox version of the beta 4 and it is pretty cool. A lot of things have improved. I just wish my del.icio.us toolbar would work, or better yet, they allowed the standard...
  22. Poll: Re: AbiWord vs Kword vs OO.o vs LyX vs Ted vs Groff

It's too bad OOo still has a reputation for being slow. It's really easy to tweak the settings and have it load much faster. You just need to go in the options and let it use more ram mainly, but you...

    Re: The End of HD-DVD

I'm glad, I didn't really care who won, but it is nice not to have two redundant formats.

Although, I still don't plan on switching to Blu-Ray anytime soon. I'm just a standard def kind of guy.
  24. Re: Does anybody sale/buy on Ebay, Amazon, Craigslist anymore?

I'm surprised so many people still dislike ebay. Its so awesome. I still use it all the time. Where else can I unload odd car parts and radio equipment for market value? No where. And you can find a...
