It's been a good while since I last posted a screenshot here. I've gone through quite a number of wallpapers in the last year, but I haven't posted anything new since the beginning of summer. As...
Once again, it's been a few months since I last posted. I hadn't changed my wallpaper in a while, but having just changed it up, I decided to show it off. So here's my current screen:

I'm back... still with my attachments, beans, and everything. So post-shutdown, I have probably the last screenshot for July:

I too wonder what will become of Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, and Ubuntu Studio when Ubuntu makes the move to Mir. Not only that, what will become of the tons of Ubuntu-based distros out there,...
Here's my first new screenshot of the month, and with a new toy too.

I'm posting a new screenshot of my netbook's Bodhi Linux since E17 went stable in late-December. There isnt really much different than when I first installed Bodhi on this netbook a few months ago,...
I was actually able to do that with Docky when I was test-running Peppermint OS... a Lubuntu-based distro that's centered on web apps. Granted, not all the web apps I ran were Chrome apps, but I had...
I decided to jump into the Arch realm of distros during my winter vacation. And no, I didn't mess with ArchBang!, Manjaro, Bridge Linux, KahelOS, or CinnArch first... I went with straight vanilla...
My first screenshot of the month, and my probably my first screenshot since coming back from winter vacation as I've been pretty busy lately. No, I'm not posting a (K)(X)(L)Ubuntu right now.

I remember installing grub on my Arch, but I installed it to the same partition as my Arch install, and not to the MBR.
I do this with every Linux because I dual-boot with Windows 7 and prefer to...
I've never really played much with Mageia since the live USB never wants to run right on either of my computers. I don't know if it's because I use unetbootin to write the iso or what, but the...
I went with straight Arch Linux as my first venture into the Arch community. I didn't play with Cinnarch nor Manjaro first (Chakra doesn't count since it's forked from Arch). Following the begginers...
I played with Fuduntu back when it was still based on Fedora 14, before it forked from Fedora. And I loved running it. It was, back then, pretty much the Linux Mint of Fedora, with a lot of apps and...
My computer, in its current form, is roughtly 4 years old, using 5 year old technology. Though I am planning to build an Ivy Bridge system sometime in the early spring.
Arch can run perfectly fine on a partition as little as 8 or 10GB pretty easily. But if you have the space to space, use a 40GB partition or more for Arch, which will give you plenty of room to add...
I use a Sansa Clip+ as my MP3 player... big 8GB one with a 32GB MicroSD card on it. It's my primary MP3 player for any time that I use it. I would, however, like to get a hold of a 160GB iPod Classic...
This might be my last screenshot of the month, and thus the year. And once again, it's not a (K)(X)(L)Ubuntu screen.
Fullscreen screenshot here:...
First screenshot from me for the month, and it's not even of (K)(X)(L)Ubuntu :D

Last screenshot of the month... and probably my last dual-monitor screenshot since I'm taking the desktop with me up north while I'm on winter vacation.

I tested the suggestion out and ran a test in a LiveUSB session of Kubuntu 12.10. I downloaded the correct .deb file (in this case, the precise-amd64 file), made sure I had all the dependencies, and...
I don't know a whole lot about it myself, other than it's a very stable rolling release distro. I know a lot of people who stand by it.
I myself am gonna give it a shot this winter break......
