    It looks like it does a proprietary G+ that *MIGHT* give N speeds. No guarantee...

    Well, hopefully Intel will come up with a firmware solution soon. It's not Ubuntu's fault. I had trouble with that 5350 in Gentoo Linux.

    Yes, deleting the file is a permanent fix.

    Not sure why it's there to begin with, perhaps cruft leftover from testing or a bug with the 5300.
